Here are some tips...

• Read to your baby every day: begin with a few minutes a day and increase it as their interest in books grows

• Use sounds, songs, gestures, and words that rhyme to help your baby learn about language and its many uses

• Take children’s books and writing materials with you whenever you leave home to entertain and occupy your child
