Children’s behavior is unpredictable. It is important for parents to teach children about different traffic signs and signals to better avoid any traffic related injuries. Here are a few tips to keep your child safe around car traffic of any amount:
- Always look both ways before crossing the street
- Always cross the street at crosswalks and never cross from between parked cars where oncoming traffic can’t see you
- If you are planning on having your child walk to and from school without you, walk the trip with them before letting them do it on their own
